Who We Are
What defines SunnyMac as a company is our over 200 employee’s dedication to quality and our mantra to always strive to “be better”. We accomplish this by always working on making our customer’s experience better, our sales team stronger, and our installation practices safer and more efficient. Even with all of the accolades we have received from our industry, no one at SunnyMac will ever tell you that we are satisfied where we are, as we know that the solar industry is very complex and we always need to be alert, stay ahead of the curve, and change how we approach meeting the needs of our customers.

SunnyMac’s headquarters are in Wilmington Delaware, with our other offices in Bethlehem, PA & Marlton, NJ. Our primary markets are Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania
What We Solve
The Solar industry exists because the current solution to providing energy to our planet is ineffective. Among other things, it is expensive and causes global warming. At the current pace, global warming will cause irreversible damage to our planet which will have a disastrous effect on the quality of life for our future generations. Something needed to be done, a movement has begun, and SunnyMac is dedicated to championing this cause!
Solar power is also a more cost-effective solution to providing electricity to one’s home. Our customers are able to gain control over their utility costs, which are beginning to see unsustainable price increases across the country. Our customers are also able to save a substantial amount of money by going solar while also joining us in our mission to solve our planet’s energy problem.
How We Do It
We also make the transition easy for our customers by offering “turnkey grid solar power solutions” to homes and businesses. What this means is that all aspects of the project are handled by SunnyMac; We provide financing, site evaluation, design & engineering. We will also submit all state, local and utility paperwork on the customer’s behalf, from first getting the installation approved through getting connected to the grid after installation. We will also submit all state incentive paperwork for the customers (SREC, state rebate registrations, etc.), which will vary by state. And, rest assured, we will not only install the systems, but we will provide any necessary maintenance or warranty coverage over the long term.

SunnyMac’s model is based on installing new systems while keeping future maintenance minimal. We feel the best way to achieve this is by choosing SunnyMac as your professional installation company who will ensure that all components are installed correctly. To put this simply, as a business we want to install your system and give you the peace of mind that we should not have to fix any warranty issues in the future. This philosophy aligns us with our customer’s goals, who wish to purchase a system and know that the system will work properly for them for years to come.
SunnyMac was founded in September of 2009. After a short stint as a turnkey solar solutions provider we morphed into an installation-only company. In the beginning we were working for many of the “big companies”, including SunRun, SunPower, Sungevity, Solar City, One Roof, SunEdison, etc., and we installed over 4,000 systems as an installation company during the period between 2011-2017.
After watching many of these fail, file for bankruptcy etc, we decided that we would go back to providing a turnkey solution. It was early in 2017 when we decided to move on from the installation only business. Since 2017 we have installed over 10,000 SunnyMac systems.
